Welcome to the site of the Yorkshire terrier’s kennel Ekspouzd.

I bought my first yorkshire terrier in 2002  in St.Petersburg. I was lucky – I bought her (it was a bitch) from a reputable breeder – Smirnova M, kennel name Smilain, she’s got fantastic bloodlines – those of Majodian and Durrer’s.

She was successful reasonably – Smilain Brendans Superior is the champion of 6 countries, she’s the champion of the National Breed Club. Grandchampion,  holder of 4 CACIB. Multi BOB , BIG.

My first litter came in June 2005. From  this litter I’ve got a real star of my kennel – Ekspouzd Violet Wonder.

I don’t breed excessively. I usually have not more than a litter in a year or even less. To my mind, there are quite a lot of dogs in the world. I try to breed carefully.

This year I’ve got two litters – of three and 1 puppies. The second litter has come out of fantastic Qoccle’s Oliverlighsome. His titles will occupy the next page so I omit them.

I used to have and to breed harlequin Great Danes. Most of my experience I got from that breed an its breeders  - from Great Britain and Germany. I don’t have any Great Danes any more, just yorkies.

I bought a yorkie as a friend to my Ch. Eroll vom Hollenstein out of a sheer contrast between those breeds. But then I fell completel;y under spell of this wonderful breed.

Now I have at home just 4 yorkshires. All of them – multichampions, except very small Ekspouzd July Morning,. He’s only 11months old, his father is world ch. ,4 times  European champion, holder of 41 titles – Qoccle’s Oliverlightsome., his mother is Ekspouzd Violet Wonder.

Ekspouzd Violet Wonder (Multi Ch, Int Ch Smilain Energizer * Multi Ch Smilain Brendans Superior) InterChampion, Russian, Finnish, Lithuanian, Estonian, Belorus, Mold, Bulgarian, Maced., Ch of Balcan Countries, Finnish Winner 2007, 2008, Ch of RKF, 3d place in the class on the World Show -2008, Multi BOB, BIG, BIS -3.

Ekspouzd Give Me A Chance , 02.11.2006 (Int. Ch Multi Ch Smilain Mon Plaisir + Multi ch. Smilain Brendans Superior) – she is my hope for this year. She is the Champion of Russia, Grandchampion, Chamion of the National Breed Club, Ch. Of  Finland, Lithuania, Estonia, Winner 2009, Belorussia, Bulgaria, Maced, Ch. Of Balcan countries, , Ch of RKF, BOB, BIG, BIS-2.She was also 3d in placement during the World Show 2008, and got the Res,CAC during the specialty show on European Championship this year. She’s a holder of 5 CACIBs and needs one after September for finishing her International Champiomship

 My kennel was rewarded in the Yorkshow, spring 2008, judge Mr.Geoffry Curr. Also this year my kennel was the 1^st on the special show of Yorkshire terriers in Finland.

My creed in breeding is  linebreeding. I will never breed faulty dogs (as far as I know about them)

If to speak about priorities in breeding - first of all I consider structure, coat – on the second. I keep size and like good heads. Well, it sounds perfect – but you can never gain it all simultaneously, unfortunately. And I think that the first priority – healthy temperamental sound dogs,

 I’ve been still learning the art of breeding yorkies . The only thing –  think twice before to breed

 I like them all the time we spend together. And a lot!
